How it works

  1. Upload your photo

    Choose a photo that means something to you. A sharp image with a clear subject gives the best starting point.

  2. We make your pattern

    We check every photo ourselves, fine-tune the crop and colours, and make your kit in 5–7 working days.

  3. You embroider

    Stitch by stitch, the image grows. You work at your own pace and watch your memory become more and more recognisable.

Is my photo suitable?

Almost always. A photo from your phone is fine. When you choose it, you’ll see straight away whether it’s big enough: at least 500 pixels on the short side.

  • Too dark or overexposed
  • Blurry, or a screenshot of a small photo

Will I get a preview?

No, not in advance. But one of us does look at your photo before we make anything; if we have any doubts, we’ll get in touch.

Can I send my photo later?

Yes. Tick ‘or send it later’ and order. You then send your photo, and we’ll start as soon as we have it.

Which sizes and versions are available?

Size

45×45 cm · 56×56 cm

Fabric: 11CT as standard (11 stitches per 2.54 cm). With the upgrade to 14CT, the stitches are smaller and you see more detail.

Portrait, landscape or square: every size can be portrait or landscape; after uploading, you choose the orientation and crop yourself.

I’ve never done embroidery before. Will I manage?

Yes. Just choose pre-printed: the symbols and colours are already on the fabric, so there’s no counting. The instructions (in Dutch) explain step by step how to make a cross stitch.

What’s the difference between 11CT and 14CT?

CT stands for the number of stitches per 2.54 cm. 11CT is standard: larger stitches, easy to see. On 14CT the stitches are smaller, so you see more detail in things like faces and fur.

When will my kit arrive?

We make your kit in 5–7 working days, then it’s with you in 2–4 working days. Shipping is always free, with tracking.

Can I return it?

We make your kit especially from your photo. Made-to-order items can’t be returned; the right to cancel doesn’t apply to personalised products. Not happy with the quality? Then we’ll put it right.

Can I give it as a gift?

Of course. At checkout, enter the recipient’s address. Please note: a personalised kit can’t be returned.

What are the instructions like?

Every kit includes step-by-step instructions in Dutch: how to read the symbols, make your first cross stitch and start and finish neatly.

How do I wash my embroidery?
  • Hand wash your embroidery in lukewarm water (30 °C max.) with a little mild soap.
  • Don’t wring: press the water out between two towels.
  • Leave it to dry flat, out of direct sunlight.
  • Iron the back, on a soft towel, to keep the stitches nice and plump.
