What do you need for a mini?

Step by step: your first mini
- Find the center of your fabric. Fold it into quarters; the intersection is your starting point. The center is usually indicated by arrows on the pattern.
- Stretch the fabric in the mini hoop. Tight as a drum — this gives the most even stitches.
- Start in the middle. This way you work outwards and your design stays neatly centered.
- Make your first cross-stitch. From bottom-left diagonally to top-right, then from bottom-right to top-left. That's your X.
- Work by colour. Finish all stitches of one colour before switching. This saves hassle with threads.
- Mark off on your pattern. Mark what you've done, so you never get lost.
