Behind the lit-up counter lie mountains of golden-brown oliebollen under a cloud of icing sugar, a string of lights twinkles along the edge of the roof and warm steam curls from the fryer into the cold air. Above the snowy rooftops, the midnight-blue sky lights up with the first pink and gold rockets — New Year's Eve as it should be, in every stitch.

<details>
Why this cross stitch kit?

The colour palette breathes New Year's Eve: deep midnight blue, shining gold, soft champagne, cheerful firework pink and bright snow white. With 22 thread colours you get lovely detail in the crispy crust of the oliebollen, the glow of the lights and the layer of snow on the stall's roof. A lovely project for beginners with a little patience, and for experienced stitchers who love atmospheric evening scenes of light and dark.
</details>

<details>
Who is this embroidery kit for?

A much-loved gift for anyone who loves Dutch traditions and the cosiness of the turn of the year.
