stoomboot-bij-de-molen-aan-de-rivier-kruissteek-pakket
Steamboat by the Windmill on the River — Cross Stitch Kit

★★★★★ An atmospheric arrival of Sinterklaas by the windmill on the river

The steamboat lies moored at a wooden jetty along the river, cheerfully decorated with red and gold bunting. Sinterklaas stands on deck in his mitre-red cloak, while his white horse is already waiting patiently on the bank. Behind them a stately Dutch windmill rises against the evening-blue sky, with a warm light behind its little window. Lanterns along the jetty, swaying reeds and bare pollard willows are mirrored in the still water — Dutch landscape and festive arrival in one scene.
<details>
Why this cross stitch kit?

The colour palette blends the festive with the rural: mitre red, gold, beard white and dapple grey alongside deep evening blue and warm chocolate and speculaas tones in the wood of the mill and the jetty. With 22 thread colours you get lovely detail in the sails, the bunting and the golden gleam of the lanterns on the water. A lovely project for beginners who love peaceful landscapes and for experienced stitchers who enjoy atmospheric light effects.
</details><details>
Who is this embroidery kit for?

A much-loved gift for anyone who treasures the Sinterklaas celebration and for lovers of windmills, rivers and the Dutch polder landscape.
