Behind the glass stand chocolate letters in red and gold, tall speculaas figures and glass jars full of pepernoten (little spiced biscuits), and in the middle a little Sinterklaas figure in his red cloak and golden mitre keeps watch beside a dapple-grey toy horse. A street lamp and a touch of frost on the cobbles complete the picture — true gift evening (pakjesavond) spirit in every stitch.
<details>
Why this cross stitch kit?

The colour palette is wonderfully festive: mitre red, shining gold, beard white, dapple grey, chocolate brown, warm speculaas tones and a deep evening blue. With 22 thread colours you get lots of detail in the glow of the shop window, the wrapped chocolate letters and the woodwork of the shopfront. The contrast between the warm light inside and the cool evening air outside makes this especially rewarding to stitch — a lovely project for those with a little experience, yet thanks to the pre-printed symbols perfectly doable for an enthusiastic beginner too.
</details><details>
Who is this embroidery kit for?

For everyone who cherishes the Sinterklaas celebration and loves nostalgic Dutch streets and traditional bakeries.
