A snowy dusting of icing sugar drifts over everything, a few gold and pink confetti flakes lie on the cloth and a small candle bathes it all in a soft glow — the tastiest New Year's Eve tradition, in close-up.

<details>
Why this cross stitch kit?

The colour palette is warm and festive: golden brown, champagne, icing-sugar white, firework pink and a deep midnight blue as the background. With 22 thread colours you get lovely detail in the round oliebollen and the flaky pastry layers of the apple turnovers. Because the design is one clear close-up subject with calm areas, it makes an ideal first cross stitch project for beginners — and a nice in-between project for experienced stitchers.
</details>

<details>
Who is this embroidery kit for?

A much-loved gift for foodies and anyone who can't imagine the turn of the year without oliebollen.
