On deck stands Sinterklaas in his red cloak and golden mitre, waving his staff, with his faithful white horse beside him. On the quay, children in scarves cheer and wave little flags, while the stepped gables, the church tower and the first glowing lanterns frame the scene — just like in an old Dutch picture book.

<details>
Why this cross stitch kit?

The colour palette breathes nostalgia: mitre red, shining gold, beard white, dapple grey, chocolate brown, speculaas tones and a deep evening blue. With 22 thread colours you get lots of detail in the steamboat's plume of smoke, the folds of the cloak and the rows of gables along the quay. A festive project for beginners who'd love to stitch a familiar Sinterklaas scene, and for experienced stitchers who love storytelling scenes full of little details.
</details>

<details>
Who is this embroidery kit for?

A much-loved gift for anyone with warm memories of Sinterklaas arriving, and for lovers of vintage illustrations and old Dutch charm.
